Packaging: Outside

The Hypervolt Go came in a high quality, small box that came apart in 2 separate pieces.

Packaging: Inside

Opening the box I saw that the Gun along with all its components neatly packed. First thing I noticed was that this gun was pretty small and it only came with a total of 2 massage tips. It also comes with a charger that has 3 extra plugs that fit different types of outlets and the instruction manual.

Testing Out the Hypervolt Go

Athstetics: First thing that stands out about the Hypervolt Go is its size. The Hypervolt Go is pretty small. It has a pretty basic design. Some of the rubbers didn’t look very high quality as there were rubber pieces sticking out a little. The design of the gun looks kind of basic and boring compared to other guns I’ve seen. The gun had a single button that controls turning the gun on and off as well as turning up the speed. It took me a second to find the button and it was kind of annoying having to hold the button for 3 seconds to turn it on. I do like how the battery life is indicated by the color of the light ring at the bottom of the gun.

Using the Gun: The gun ran pretty well but there are a few things I didn’t like about it. The first thing was that the handle is very wide making the grip feel awkward. Another thing was that it stalled out really easily. As I was pressing it into my leg the motor stalled surprisingly quickly and I wasn’t even putting much pressure on it at all. I didn’t like how there were only 3 levels on the gun. The last thing was that it was pretty loud and it vibrated a lot for how small it was. You would think a small gun like that would generally be quiet but the gun was actually pretty loud.

Hypervolt Go Massage Gun Specs

Size

The Hypervolt Go is designed to be small and travel sized, and with dimensions of 5.2in x 2in x 7.3in it’s exactly that. Although this massage gun is much smaller than other guns there are many smaller guns out there with better performance. The handle is also very thick making it uncomfortable to hold.

Weight

The Hypervolt Go is pretty light as it weighs 1.5 pounds. This is average for a gun of its size. Its light weight makes it easy and comfortable to use for long periods of time.

Stroke Length

The stroke length of the Hypervolt go is 10mm which is very good for a gun of its size.

Stall Force

I couldn’t find the actual stall force for this gun but by seeing that it has a small 40W motor and by  just putting it to the test myself I found that it is pretty low, I’m guessing around 15-20 pounds. If you’re just looking for a gun to massage and relax your muscles this might not matter much to you but if you want to be able to use your gun for deeper muscle recovery and to get out knots this gun does not have the power to do so.

Battery Life

Being such a small gun the Hypervolt Go has a long lasting battery that can last over 2.5 hours on a single charge. It takes about 80 minutes to fully charge which isn’t too bad.

Attachments and Accessories

Attachments are where the Hypervolt Go lacks the most. The gun only comes with 2 attachments which are the flat and the bullet. These attachments also seem to be poor quality as they are made out of hard plastic with no padding. The one thing that Hypervolt Go comes with that many massage guns don’t is the selection of 3 different plugs to fit different types of outlets in different countries.

Speed

The Hypervolt Go has 3 speeds which are 2,200rpm, 2,750rpm, and reaches a top speed of 3,200rpm. This motor can actually go faster than many larger and more expensive massage guns.

Noise level

The Hypervolt Go is quieter than many guns but for its size it was actually still pretty loud. Using a sound limit meter I measured the gun at max speed producing 71.3dB.

Worth the Price?

Some massage guns are very expensive and if you don’t need a gun with a lot of power that may be one of the reasons you are looking to buy a smaller gun. The Hypervolt Go costs around $180 depending on where you buy it. In my opinion this gun is not worth $180, it is low quality and has low performance.
